Be consistent. There are some sprays available at pet supply stores that supposedly deter your pet from getting on the furniture. However, all you need is a little bit of discipline and they will learn. If they jump up, remove them and tell them no.

A dog can be trained well by his/her guardians. It acts as we teach them. They are very clever than human beings. So train them good in early stages only. Never allow them to sit on your furnitures. This activities may be disliked by our visitors. It may not bother us.
