Prior to installation,a crease can be lessened by allowing the carpet to warm up and layed out flat. During installation, it should be power stretched to remove any creases.

If simple washing and ironing don't work, you can remove the crease mark by rubbing a bar of soap along the line on the inside before pressing with an iron. Also you can pursue the vinegar method. If you combine equal parts of vinegar and water and spray as you press out the crease, that usually works. The extra wash should also help getting crease out.

If your are wanting to remove this type of crease from your carpet then you will need to take off the covering first. Then you will be able to remove it.
