Take your cutting, and dip it in water before potting. Repot the cutting in a 3-5 inch pot filled with a mix of 50% soil, 25% peat, 25% potting foam. Be sure to only put the cutting a half inch to inch deep, and remember to water it frequently enough to keep the soil moist, but not saturated.

Start with a pot just big enough to contain the roots (probably 6") and use a potting soil (NOT garden dirt) that contains perlite and vermiculite with something like gravel mixed in for drainage. Water to moist and let dry out between waterings, give indirect light.

Pothos plants do well in a mixture of one part peat moss and one part sand. Water this mixture well before adding your plant.
