What should I know about planting a perennial garden in zone 7?

Anything that will grow in zone 7 or less will be great for that garden. Do you want flowers or veggies, or maybe bushes? Anything that catches your fancy should be noted if it grown in zone 7 or not. Usually a range will be given, like Zone 3-8. Check out the chilling hours also.

Try asking friends, family or even a local garden club in your area for the types of flowers that grow well in your Area. Some plants just don't seem to thrive well in some places because of the soil. Just because the store sells them doesn't always mean that the plant will thrive in your soil.
