What should I know about landscaping with redwood chips?

I love them I have them around everything they help keep the bugs away as well as keeping the weeds down as well as keeping the bugs out I hve them around all of my little trees as well as about 4 inches deep in all of my flower beds.

The chips prevent evaporation from the soil and therefore keep your plants moist. You should check with your supplier about how much you will need to cover your area. They are useful for preventing weed growth

Use redwood chips after planting shrubs and plants. Scatter the redwood chips all around to cover the area to help keep out weeks and to give a finished look.

You're going to need more than you think. That bag looks really big, but it spreads out pretty thinly. So, buy more than you think you'll need.
