You will need a 55 gallon aquarium for no more than two yellow perch. They will get large and eat 4-5 feeder fish daily, and like worms and chicken livers.

First you should make sure that it is legal to keep a native fish without a license or permit. Second, they grow large so a large aquarium is a must. They also should have strong filtration. I am not sure but they might need a chiller as well. I have a green sunfish and he does just fine at 72F.

Yellow perch are a schooling fish and don't like to be alone. Keep in a 55 gallon tank. However, they may outgrow the tank and need to be released.

Well you can keep them as a pet but you need to make sure that you constantly change the water as they can not thrive in dirty water. Also, make sure you feed them well.
