The way I have always cleaned my floor is on the good old hands and knees. I like to use something tough, Comet works great on ground in dirt, but it can scratch. And then make sure you rinse well.
If your floor is wood you will need to use a special wood cleaner. If it's plain tile you can use a regular floor cleaner on it. Just use a mop and pail.
