Australian dendrobium orchids are an adaptable plant, thriving in cool to intermediate temperatures. They grow in a high light shade house from 85° F to 30° F in the winter.

dendrobium is the hybridized or recombinant spp which are basics of the growing orchids. australian orchids are extreme in colors. its is an epiphyte with thichened stem called canes and sometime called deciduous. they grow at variable temperature like high light or some need a rest period.

The Australian dendrobium orchids should be grown in an environment where they get plenty of shade. It is recommended to actually use shade cloths to keep bugs and other insects off of the plants. Also make sure the plant stays moist all year.
