You can easily cut flagstone with a circular but you have to have a special blade. A diamon shaped blade.

Depending on how big your project is you can use a few different tools. If it is a small project you can use a chipping chisel. A masonary saw is always a good tool to use however it is loud and noisey but way more efficient for a larger job.

When cutting the flagstone, there will probably be a lot of noise and dust. definitely be sure to wear ear plugs, safety glasses, and a mask.

I would lay down a piece of plywood on the lawn to cut the flagstone. Now what you will need is a masonry saw to cut the flagstone. You can also use a circular saw with a masonry blade, but the masonry saw is more powerful for cutting the flagstone.

first thing while cutting the flagstone is you should use mask. The cutting of flagstone is mainly done by chisel.another one material used is masonary saw. but you should use the diamon blade saw that gives good finishing and good edges.some handsaw also available in market.

To cut flagstone: WEAR GLOVES & SAFETY-GLASSES, Measure & mark where-to-cut, Tape over where-to-cut on both bottom & top sides with "duct-tape" to lessen chipping/cracking, Use a concrete/masonry-saw (or a circular-saw) with a metal-reinforced-ceramic/fiber concrete/masonry-cutting blade. Prevent cracking: Support the flag-stone on both-sides of the cut & on the ends.

It can be done with a chisel or saw. It is also a very difficult and time consuming task. It is also very tedious and you should be wearing a mask. A high level of safety is required to prevent injury.

Cutting flagstone can be tricky but if you have ever cut tile it is almost the smae thing. You are going to need water to make sure the stone stays cool and just use a sharp blade to cut it or it will crack.

you will need to hire a power saw with diamond tipped blade from local hire store you will need eye protecters and ear plugs the saw is run on petrol .lay the flagstone flat on ground mark a line where flagstone needs cut start cutting to line gently appling pressure until flagstone is cut .

Well flag stone is very difficult cut. You have to find specific cutting materials to counter the flag stone. You can purchase these online and or at any major hardware store. This might not be an easy task to do yourself. So it may be better for you to hire someone.
