YOu need the wood to be pressure and chemical treated, at least the underside. Wood wicks water way from concrete and the steps will rot if untreated.

You need to enable water to move and not settle between the wood and concrete or they will rot - even if they are made of PT. Beyond that make sure you have the correct rise and run for the steps like normal and you will be fine.

Make sure the wood that you are using is treated so it does not rot out. You can anchor it to the cement with red heads.
