Air ferns are very easy to care for because they're not actually plants, they're kind of like coral. You don't need to water it, but dusting may be called for.

Air ferns are decorative, but are not really alive. They require no water or fertilizer. They are really only a fern in appearance and are actually dried skeletons (or shells) of a form of marine animal(think coral). The green coloring is a dye, and if soaked will come off. They provide a low maintenance substitution for a houseplant.

Air ferns are interesting plants. They require no watering and no fertilization. They are one of the few plants that are like that. In fact if you water them you could possibly bleach and discolor the plant.

Air ferns need to be spritzed about once a week; you cannot just leave it. A good place for it would be in the bathroom or by a kitchen sink. It needs indirect lighting though in some cases a florescent light could be enough.

Air ferns are the skeletal remains of a tiny marine animal similar to coral. It requires no food or water or fertilizer because it is essentially a corpse from the bottom of the sea.
