If the baby has eaten recently you should try to burp him or her by patting on the back. Additionally, you can try to hold the baby in different positions because this might help them force that gas out if they need to. This usually works really well, but be careful.

When babies have gas pain, it can sometimes be caused by milk products in the formula, so first of all, consider what it is he's eating. One comfort method is to turn the baby stomach-down on your thighs, swing your legs to and fro in a rocking motion, while rubbing the infant's back.

You should really consult a doctor. But in the mean time keep a diary of what you are feeding your child. You could probably figure out what is causing the gas and pain and then eliminate the culprit from your child's diet. Also Pepto-Bismol always helped with my childs digestive issues. They make a children's version.

Hold your baby closely. Get a warm rag (not too hot) and rub it gently on the baby's belly and absomen. Rub in circular motions. Do not press on the baby's timmy, just rub gently. If the screaming does not stop after several hours then you probably need to go to a doctor.
