Just cut the food up into smaller pieces or keep feeding the toddler stage 3 baby food until the child is ready. Try a happy meal from Mcdonalds when the child realizes that real food tastes better than the baby food your toddler will start chewing his food without you telling him.

Certainly encourage him, and reward him if he or she does. If not, then make sure that it's soft food, because this is a major choking hazard.

This is a learned skill. Demonstrate for the child. Alternatively, give soft food that is easy to chew so that they learn to do so, like pudding cakes or jellies.

Try mashing the food or cutting it into tiny pieces, and give him small amounts of food at a time. It's common for toddlers to go through phases where they will gulp their food, refuse to chew it, or hold it in their mouths. It probably won't be long before he starts eating normally.
