Most of the time the cyst pops anyways, if you are having pain, take a warm bath to relax your muscles and take some ibuprofen to help with pain.

It will hurt - a lot. Treat your symptoms, and watch for a fever and bleeding after the first day or two, or period-heavy bleeding. These mean you should see a doctor immediately. Otherwise, treat your symptoms as they arise. Pain killers make constipation worse, if that is a symptom.

If an ovarian cyst pops you will be in considerable abdominal pain, if you can tolerate the pain the best thing to do is get plenty of rest and not lift anything for a while. If you are in pain and can not tolerate it call your doctor or go to the emergency room.

Often, ovarian cysts will pop and you won't even know it, unless you were looking at before and after pictures using an ultrasound. However, if you experience significant pain that won't go away, it is important to contact your doctor so they can do a thorough exmaination of the ovary.

For most woman, a discomfort is felt but not much pain. Standard pain reliver should help along with a cold pack compression on the area.
