What should I do if I catch my kids playing doctor?

I think the most important thing is to not make them feel guilty or shamed for playing a seemingly innocent game. They're probably at an age where they are curious about one another's bodies. Perfectly normal to compare and contrast! I think it would be wise to talk to them, explain things a little and set boundaries.

First, remember that this is perfectly normal behavior. Kids are curious, they've absorbed that there is something mysterious about genitals and they are going to do this. Calmly, say that you know they are curious but that people's private parts are private, and that if they have questions or are curious, they can ask you. Then, don't worry about it.
