What should I do for my puppy's seizures?

Seek a vet's advice. In the meantime, make sure the area around it is clear when ever she seizes so as to minimise the risk of injury.

Seizures in puppies are unusual. A vet appointment should be scheduled as soon as possible. Most people think seizures are caused by epilepsy but there are many other causes like thyroid problems. If you witness a seizure hold your dog still so he does not injure himself.

our vet recommended a low dose of phenobarbital to control the seizures. He has had zero seizures since we started his this treatment over a year ago. Your dog WILL need periodic blood tests and it is hard to take them off, so check with your vet. Good Luck.

puppy seizures can be caused due to various reasons. most common of them is a liver problem. These cannot be cured but one can keep them in control by asking the vet for a medicine deepening on the type of seizure the puppy is suffering from. proper care can help the puppy recover and have very minimum seizures.

You need to take it to the vet, the vet can put it on meds so it won't have them quit as often, or not have any more of them.
