Money is always welcome as well as prepaid phone cards. Different gift certificates to fast food places would be great. Pen and pencil sets and little packs of junk food will go well.
Definitely there should go some money into that basket, as graduates (intend to) start their independent life from graduation onwards and a lot of them a make journey before getting into real life. A hand signed card and some flowers.
