Go to your vet and the vet will tell you what shots your kitten needs. There are 8-9 shots, at 8 and 10 weeks. It doesn't matter if the cat is indoors, particularly if there are other cats. If not there is always the risk of accidental escape.

It can be an indoor or outdoor cat. They should be vaccinated at 8 weeks. Some common vaccines are Calicivirus, Panleukopenia,a type of Herpes virus vaccine and later rabies.
