A short luteal phase which is less than 10 days, makes conception and pregnancy difficult. Because of a short luteal phase, enough progesterone is not produced. As a result of low progesterone, pregnancy cannot be sustained because of thin or partial development of uterine lining.

When ovaries don't produce enough progesterone after ovulation, a short luteal phase occurs. As a result, the uterine lining is less likely to hold a fertilized egg. A miscarriage occurs.

Low progesterone combined with a short luteal phase causes infertility and/or miscarriages. A luteal phase should be 10-14 days, when it's short there is not enough time for egg implantation.

A short luteal phase is usually caused by low progesterone. The shortened luteal phase means the endometrial lining in the uterus either is shed too early, or does not build up enough to support pregnancy. It is a barrier to fertility.

Short luteal phase (less than 10 days) results in low progesterone production. Due to low progesterone level, the uterine lining does not grow thick enough to be able to hold the fertilized egg to the uterine wall. The thin uterine lining breaks down easily, bringing on menstrual bleeding and miscarriage.

If you have been diagnosed with low progesterone and a short luteal phase it may be more difficult for you to become pregnant. Your body needs the progesterone to sustain a pregnancy, and the luteal phase typically needs to be ten days or more to give a fertilized egg time enough to implant.

Well it can cause many problems but also it depends on your body system. With low progestore you can have problems with your sex drive and creating hormones. So thus you should go see a doctor and see what it is specifically causing in your body. Each body is different.
