What kinds of things should you say in a Thanksgiving letter?

I want to send them instead of Christmas cards.

Make sure to write about things that have stayed the same from the past, but good things only (like Martin and Beth are celebrating their third anniversary). Mention things that are new that are good or might become good. Mention attitudes, feelings, expectancies, and always write that you are thankful for the person reading the letter.

Well, you could mention how well you and/or your family are this year, and what it is you are thankful for. Also, mention relatives and possible plans.

I think it would be nice to send letters that tell the recipient all of things about them that you are thankful for and appreciate. I think it is a lovely idea that will make a big impression on your friends and family. I am sure you will also get a lot out of the exercise!

In a Thanksgiving letter, you should just thank everyone for how much they have done for you that year and to talk about how much the relationship- whatever it may be- means to you and how much worse life would be without it.

Talk about the events in your life that you want to keep people posted on. Try to focus the letter on the good things and what you're thankful for.
