The most common wildlife one would encounter in Livermore, California would be that of: Amphibians such as frogs and toads, Birds such as song birds, waterbirds and birds of prey. Small animals and rodents including raccoons, opossums, squirrels, rats, mice, skunks, foxes and bats. As well as, reptiles such as snakes, turtles and lizards are also found.

There are lots of squirrels and small rodent types of animals like chipmunks. You can also spot woodpeckers and Blue Jays. Rabbits are commonly spotted. An uncommon animal you may spot is a mountain lion. They do live in the hills around Northern California. There are many types of birds common to the area as well.
