In my opinion, Casting Crowns play gospel/inspirational music. They have very spiritual messages behind their music and they create an uplifting tone with their lyrics. They play very mellow music, usually a piano or acoustic guitar.

Casting Crowns are a Christian band that has a soft rock twist compared to more traditional Christian music. They want to spread a message but with music they enjoy and that younger people into the rock scene will also find interesting and tasteful with a godly essence and inspirational theme.
