What kind of large, irridescent spider is found in Western Pennsylvania?

I saw it years ago and have never been able to identify what it was.

I'm going to bet it was a "jumping spider" (Salticidae). They seem to be pretty common in Pennsylvania and have different characteristics depending on the exact type.

You might have seen a False Black Widow spider. These spiders bite, but their bite is not as bad as that of a real Black Widow spider.
