What kind of fungi is likely growing on the tree stump in my back yard?

These are probably a simple wood fungus like Shelf Fungus. Or its possibly toadstools. They can grow pretty much anywhere.

There are a number of mushroom style fungi that grow on stumps and can be very attractive and non-intrusive if you want to make it the center of a natural style woods garden. These fungi will break down and eventually "eat" the stump. If this is a green mold type, you may want to consult your garden center.
