The bull's eye rash (erythema migrans) is frequently seen in the early stage of Lyme disease, which is a tick-borne disease. Its nickname derives from the rash's bull's eye appearance.

It is a red dot surrounded by a clear patch of skin then a red ring. Looks just like a bulls eye. If it surrounds a tic bite it could be Lyme disease.

"Bull's Eye Rash", a colloquial term for Lyme disease, got its name because of the "bull's eye" that forms a circle around tick bite.

It is the visible characteristic of a tic bite. The center is usually pale/white and the red rash forms a circle around it. It looks like a target's bull's eye. I have had two of these. See your doctor if you find this type of rash on your skin.
