Initially the best treatment for annular tear is physiotherapy. Treatment depends upon the type of grade. If the grade is I,II and III,lumbar traction will be very useful. For three to four weeks it can be tried,so that tear will be getting healed. To reduce pain,electrotherapy can be given. For grade IV and V,surgery is the final treatment.

Time alone will heal it. Drink plenty of water to re-hydrate your discs. Make sure you speak with a chiropractor about mobilizing/balancing your spine. Yoga and deep stretching helps, also.
