The pain medicine that is currently considered the strongest medicine available for pain relief is known as dihydromorphinone (generic name), or Dilaudid (brand name). This medication is not available over the counter and must be prescribed by a qualified medical doctor.

It is generally accepted that the strongest pain medicine currently available is Dilaudid, also known as hydromorphone or hydrochloride. THat being said, if a person requires treatment with pain medication it is often trial and error to determine what is going to work best for a patient in a particular situation.

Fentanyl, an opioid-based pain reliever, is considered the strongest pain medication. It is about 100 times stronger than morphine at the same dose, and is used for anesthesia and analgesia.

The strongest pain medication is Fentanyl. It is generally available in hospitals alone. It kills pain and also induces sleep so that the patient gets instant relief. It is given only for severe injuries and major surgeries.

Oxycontin is the strongest medication you can get from any medical doctor around. Some are in pill form, others give it to you in IV form.

Morphine is the strongest pain medicine, but it is rarely administered outside of hospital/emergency settings. Oxycodone is the strongest pain medication that is typically prescribed. Heroin is more powerful than either, but is not legal due to the risks of abuse and addiction.

Fentanyl is the strongest pain medicine ever used for humans. It is so potent that it is likely to outright kill anyone who hasn't already developed a tolerence to opiods. There is a stronger substance, called Carfentanyl, that is used as an animal tranquilizer. It's 100 times stronger than fentanyl.

The strength of the medicine really depends on what your aliment is. For those in severe medical distress Fentanyl, RMS MS Contin, Dilaudid are the strongest drugs available for doctor administered use. If you want something that's over the counter Motrin 800 and Actron Orudis are the strongest. B

Generally morphine is considered a very strong pain medicine. But of late Oxycotin is seeming to be taking its place.

Each individual is different, requiring different strengths and/or quanity. However, it appears the fentanyl is the strongest narcotic. Morphine ranks up there as well. Over the counter would be ibuprofens.

The entire class of medications called opioids are the strongest pain medications. These include morphine, hydromorphone, Meperidine, Oxycodone, Hydromorphone, Codeine, methadone and fentanyl. Of these medications, fentanyl is the most potent. However, the overall pain relief that can be achieved with the opioids is dose-dependent, and so in a lot of cases one can work just as well as another.

Wow, so uninformed ^. Fentanyl is much stronger than morphine. It's about 150 times stronger, and 50 times stronger than heroin. It isn't only used in hospital settings. I have been on a 100mcg patches for three years. Many use it to treat chronic pain. I have a spinal injury.

That's very wrong. You should probably know what you're talking about before you try to give advice. You just sound like a fool otherwise.  add a comment
