God told Jonah to go to the city of Ninevah to warn them because of their wickedness. Jonah tried to run away from God and while in a boat a storm came up. To save the others in the boat, Jonah asked to be thrown overboard. He was swallowed by a whale. God to forgive him and God saved him.

God told Jonah to tell Nineveh citizens "repent". To avoid doing that, Jonah took a cruise. God created a storm making the sailors throw Jonah overboard to save themselves. Jonah then got swallowed by a "great fish". Three days later, it vomited Jonah on the shores of Nineveh.
