The statute of limitations varies from state to state and depends on the crime. Some crimes, like murder, have no statute of limitations. See an attorney for accurate information.

The statute of limitations will vary by jurisdiction and by crime, so State, County, and Federal rules may apply to any specific situation. Generally, the statute of limitations will be longer for more serious crimes. No US state has a statute of limitations for first degree murder, but some states do limit the prosecution of lesser degrees of murder.

I don't believe there is a statue of limitations on a felony, but call your local courthouse to make sure.

It varies with the jurisdiction. For state charges, different states have different rules. If you are a fleeing fugitive, these rules might not apply. Also, some felonies (usually murder, rape and the like) have no statute of limitations whatsoever.
