The proper distance to throw darts from is seven foot nine and one quarter inches or two hundred and thirty seven centimeters from the face of the dart board.
The line for most regulation games in darts is set at 7 feet 9 and on quater inches, you must be behind that distance, however, you are legal to stand back from that line a little if you are comfortable
You stand 8 feet from the dart board and throw darts at the board. The dart board should be hung so that the center of the bullseye is 5 feet 8 inches (1. 74 meters) from the ground. The throw line should be 7 feet 9 and 1/4 inches (2. 37 meters) from the dart board. This should be measured from the front of the dartboard, not the wall.
