Jadeite is the rarest gem, worth $3million per carat, Jadeite originates in Guatemala. Red diamonds are the second rarest and are worth $2million per carat and only a few have ever been found.

PAINITE is the rarest gem mineral that I know of. As of 2005 there have been only 18 known specimens of this gem. It is pink to red to brown in color and changes to a green under UV light. Diamonds contrary to popular belief are not rare at all. The rarest diamond is the Red color diamond.

The rarest gem on planet is diamond. For it reason diamond prices is highest as other precious and semiprecious gems prices. Diamonds prices grow up each year.
