What is the proper way to tow a jeep cj?

I need to tow my jeep cj.

It depends on how far you are towing it. For a short tow down the road, I would use a canvas tow strap attached to the front drive shaft. I would not use any sort of chain because if it breaks, you could be hurt. If you are towing it a distance, I would rent a car tower from UHaul.

The answer depends on what you have available to tow with. First be sure that all equipment is of proper size and condition. The easiest way is to use a flatbed trailer. If that isn't an option, tow the vehicle with all four wheels on the ground using a towbar.
