Talk with the towing company and tell them that you don't have a lot of money and can they give you a discount if you pay cash.

Check with several towing companies in your area to see what they would charge for the same tow. If you find significant differences in the charges, call the towing company and discuss the matter with them. If they refuse to work with you, it may be time to contact a lawyer or seek legal aid.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Once you allowed the service to be completed it was tacit consent to all charges. You CAN do something for the future: get AAA or a similar service. You can ask your car insurance provider, cell phone provider and land line provider. Many of those companies now provide AAA type services.
