What is the proper treatment for an ingrown toenail?

My toes are killing me!

It can be treated at home if done early. Soak your feet inside the salts water and add some antibacterial agents. Try to lift up the corner of your nails by putting some cotton wools and take some painkillers. If no improvement you have to seek treatment from doctor. A surgery may be needed.

Saturate a small piece of a cotton ball with neosporin and gently work it under the nail. repeat 4 times daily. By the time the infection has gone away the nail should have grown back over the skin. The be careful not to cut the nail to short again.
