The groom should compliment the bride. If your bride is in a traditional dress, wear a tux. If your bride is more casual you can dress a little down too.

Both tuxedos and suits are considered proper attire for a groom, it just depends on how formal the wedding is.

Yea, a groom should definitely wear a tuxedo on the day of his wedding. It is a formal affair, not matter how casual of a wedding you may be having. You should wear a tux even just to show the bride how seriously you are taking the day, because of all the effort she puts in to finding her dress.

Of course it is. A groom under most all circumstances needs to rent or buy a tux to wear to his wedding.
