Pit bulls are no different than caring for any other puppies. If you have pups, you should have a whelping box for teh little ones as well as the dam. It provides a safe area that the puppies are restricted to, but the mother can come and go as she needs to.

The best way to care for puppies is to let the nature take over and allow the mother do the work as long as all the puppies are being fed.

Care for them as you would any other newborn puppy. However as long as the mother is present she should have it undercontrol. Make sure they are in a warm safe place. & When they get a little over make sure they are well socialized to prevent any dog aggression.

Unless the mother has abandoned them, she will take care of her litter. Just make sure the pups are in a safe place when born because unless their mother is there, they are vulnerable. If they are abandoned by their mom, seek a vet's guidance.

The best thing is to give their mom and them plenty of room and a clean space. Keep an eye on them but generally the mother will give them all they need.

The best care you can give to the puppies is to let mom do it. She knows better than anyone what they need.

Do not separate the mother from the puppies, proper care should be given to keep the puppies warm, try using a dim bulb over the puppies nursing area for warmth.

Though pitbull puppies are stocky and stout newborns are still fragile. See that mother and siblings are around for 2-3 weeks. See that the puppies are fed by the mother.

As with all puppies, they should be kept with the mother. Ensure that all of the puppies are able to feed from the mom without any type of struggle. Make sure that the mother seems interested in the pups and licks them and allows them to drink milk. If not, you may need to manually feed the pups yourself.

All newborn puppies need the same thing. Care by their mother is the most important. Leave their mother to do her work. She knows exactly what to do.
