There are two syllables in frette. The first syllable is pronounced "fret" just like "bet" or "get. " The second syllable is pronounced "tay" as in "way. " Fret-tay.

Depending on the location, frette will be pronounced in a number of ways. In the United States frette is commonly pronounced like the word "fret. " While in Italy and other European cities frette would be pronounced as "freh-tay. " The added pronunciation of the "ay" sound would be the difference.
