Bettas will and can do fine in a small tank or individual tank. They do not requirte it, but I like to add airiation.

An entertaining home for your Betta is a double tank that has a stationary clear divider and removable screen down the middle. One Betta lives on each side. When you remove the screen they become more active due to their hostile nature and their beautiful fins flare out.

The larger your fish tank, the better for your Betta! Avoid jagged and edgy decorations as they can tear your Betta's fins, same goes for plastic plants. Use aged water to lessen the Chlorine effect on the Bettas

Put the fish in a small bowl, less than 2 cups. You can put a plant on top of the bowl with roots dangling in the water.

A Beta fish does not need much to be happy. You can simply use a goldfish bowl with a half inch layer of small pebbles at the bottom. Feel free to add a decorative item if you like.

Provide some place for him to hide, such as a skull or some other decoration. Marbles allow the "trash" to fall down away from the fish. Bigger is better.
