It depends on what state you come from, but for the most part usually it is a fine of a couple hundred dollars. Usually more if you have to pay in installments. Anyone that tells you you will be put down as a low level sex offender is pulling your leg. At least in certain states that is.

In OK the fine is $2500.00 if you are three years old. I expect it goes up from there if you are older.
