Up to 10 years in prison or a fine if the item is less than $15,000. If the item is greater than $20,000 it could include both.

This varies tremendously from state to state and is also dependent upon the value of the stolen property. In some states, for valuable property, it can be many years imprisonment.

It depends on how the property was acquired. Most often than not, a person will be asked to forfeit the property in question.
