What is the patron saint of America?

There really is no official patron saint of America as this is a Catholic notion. While Catholics comprise the single largest demonination in the US, other demoninations do not subscribe to this idea and the naming of a patron saint woiuld have no bearing on the majority of US society.

The patron saint of America is The Virgin Mary. She is specifically the patron saint in the forms of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, Our Lady of the Milk and Happy Delivery, and Our Lady of Victory. Each of these patrons have all been linked with Mary and have been portrayed as Mary in pictures.

According to the Catholic Church there are two Patron Saints of America, Our Lady of Guadalupe and Rose of Lima.
