The word kitchen,just like the German word Küche or french cuisine come from the Latin word coquina ,the place used for cooking or storing food,derived from coquere, to cook.
Kitchen probably comes from the Latin word "Coquinus" which means "of cooks". The Old English word "cycene" also means kitchen, as does the West Germanic word "kocina"
