The Andean Bear is found in the southern hemisphere. It is the only bear native to this part of the Earth. Another name for them is the Spectacled Bear. The appearance of their face, has a ring around both eyes. Thus looking like spectacles.

Its range is along the Andes Mountains and includes Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and parts of Panama, Venezuela, Bolivia and Argentina. Their coloration makes them look like they are wearing glasses, giving them their name.
