What is the normal behavior of a buffoon?

A buffoon is a bumbling fool, someone who is amusing but stupid. Only professional clowns would consider being called "a buffoon" a compliment.

I think you maybe confusing the term buffoon with an ape, the baboon. Buffoon was another word for a court jester or clown many moons ago. Thus when someone is acting silly, they are called a buffoon. On the other hand, baboons have a complex, but sometimes violent social system.
