There is no age requirements for entering a bar in the state of Michigan, however in order to be served any beverage that contains alcohol you need to be at least 21 years of age. Some bars, do not let you enter unless you are legal drinking age.

Legally, you are not allowed to enter a bar in Michigan if you are under 18 years of age. However, not all bars will allow people under 21 to enter. You should call ahead to make sure.

In Michigan it is legal to work and serve alcohol at the age of 18, which is why it is allowed to enter the premises at the age of 18. This means you can work as a server or bartender at 18 or in store you can candle and sell alcohol. The drinking age is still 21.
