Aloe grows in all the soil but the ideal and best is mix of 50% soil and 50% river sand.

It is a succulent, which grows in arid climates, and needs sandy soil with good drainage and should be planted in a sunny location.

The aloe plant does not need any special kind of soil. You can use regualr potting soil mixed with some pebbles or sand to promote dreaining.

Aloe is a category of plants called "succulents". They come from hot, dry, deserty regions with lots of sand. a HANDFUL, Suzette, with LOTS of sand is its ideal soil
