German divorce process is equivalent to the process in courts. You basically have to file for a divorce. You must be separated for some period of time and then you can go ahead and file for it. There must be some legal grounds for divorce as well. So check it out.

First you go to the judge. You must tell him the real reason and the problem you have. Then they will call you when to go there again and complete some papers. After you are done with it, you are free from your wife. That is approximately it. You are finished with your marriage.

It takes about six months to one year for divorce normally. But ,in some cases if there is strong reason with documents for marriage and if both were Germen,it will be given.
