Philemon Moongo is known for being a key supporter of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) and fighting in and out of exil until being voted onto Nation Assembly in 1994. He was arrested many times for protests but always fought for his people and earns his place on the Assembly that he still holds today.

Philemon Moongo is a politician from Namibia. He was born on April 11, 1943 in Oniipa in the Oshikoto Region. After serving as the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA) regional chairman for Northern and Central Namibia; he was elected to Namibia's National Assembly in 1995 and has remained there till the present day.
