Dog Silencer Pro is ineffective. There should be no way to stop a dog from barking, it is like an emotion. You can't just put on a device and have an emotion go away. Dogs will bark for various reasons, when it is excited, nervous, happy, and many other reasons.

It may be nervous, agitated or warning of strangers when it barks. It's better to take it to dog obedience school for training.

I do not recommend usage of the dog silencer pro or any other silencers in general. They are very effective, but they can cause severe psychological damage to your pet. Dogs are meant to bark and there are less invasive ways to correct excessive barking without putting a shock collar on them.

Its effective, but not very humane. You should consider obedience classes to teach your dog to be silent instead of using something like the dog silencer pro

It depends greatly on the dog. Some dogs respond well to it, others don't respond at all. Some dogs will bark right through the sound it puts out and won't be effective at all. Your best bet would be to see if you could test it on your dog before making the commitment of buying it.
