Sea salt has not been processed like table salt has. No iodine has been added as with table salt and it is, for the most part, a more natural form of salt.
Table salt is mined and ground to a finer texture. Sea salt is dehydrated from the sea and tends to be coarser in texture. All salts retain flavor from their origin. The differences in sea salt are more profound, taking on the attributes of the vegetation of it's origins.
